B. F. Whitmore was one of the first businesmen of Prague, Oklahoma and was
described as a pioneer merchant & trustee. In 1904 he owned a cotton gin
called Whitmore's gin as well as a grocery & dry goods store. At one time he
was a director and president & chief stockholder in the First State Bank.
He was elected numerous times as a City official.

Ellen was one of 14 pupils who graduated from the 8th grade from the first
school in Prague, OK and was ionterviewed in 1944 & 1945 by William R Tower
for his Master of Arts Thesis on the History of Prague, OK
